CSR

ArcusLink is more than just translations. We also initiate and become involved in community actions that we think are particularly important, primarily in the education sector. For example, we run a programme Employers for the Benefit of Middle School Students, and support the grant initiative of the British Alumni Society. We’re also a partner in the local ‘Młodzi w Łodzi’ (Youth in Łódż) programme, and for several years have been organizing traineeships and training for students and graduates of school academic departments for foreign languages, as well as marketing departments.

Employers for the benefit of middle school students

A PROGRAMME FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

TO SUPPORT THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER CHOICES THROUGH THE ENGAGEMENT OF BUSINESSMEN

This programme has been designed for middle school students. Its objective is to present realistic career opportunities to the students, in line with their dreams and interests, but also with regard for their individual skills and special talents. The programme helps young people familiarize themselves with local companies, before deciding about their future educational steps. For example, choosing classes in secondary school, or a technical or vocational school. This is achieved through a series of meetings with employers, entrepreneurs and company employees. The students visit various companies to inspire them in the earlier planning of their future career and further educational steps. Student consultations with employers, held on a regular basis, enable them to develop new relations and contacts with future employers, give them a better understanding and a certain experience that they can use during future job interviews, and in contact with potential employers. The meetings also help the students gain invaluable knowledge about the job market and their potential opportunities, as well as about all the necessary skills for entering the labour market early enough. Thanks to all of this, participating middle school students can make much plans for their routes through their secondary education or technical and vocational schools.

Everyone in the business community is invited to join the programme. This is an important social initiative aimed at integrating the business environment with youth. And as the architect of the programme, I am committed to providing assistance in every aspect of the programme’s implementation.
